    Renee Henze

Renee Henze, chief sustainability officer at International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF), joins Dairy Foods for Episode 43 of the “Let’s Talk Dairy” podcast to discuss sustainability.

Henze leads IFF’s Environmental, Social, and Governance strategy, execution, and reporting functions. She also leads the teams that drive sustainable innovation as it relates to customer engagement, sustainability, communication and marketing, responsible sourcing, human rights due diligence, and community impact.

Prior to her current role, Henze led global marketing and sustainability for IFF’s Home & Personal Care Business, and spent 16 years at DuPont, where her roles included global marketing, sustainability, and commercial development director for DuPont Biomaterials, as well as global business manager for the DuPont’s Omega-3 and Sustainable Aquaculture business.

Henze has broad experience globally in traditional and sustainability marketing, new product launches, business development, promotion, channel development, sales, and sales management.

Henze is an adjunct professor of marketing at New York University’s School of Professional Studies, where she teaches graduate classes in new product development, brand strategy, and sustainable marketing.

She also is a current member of the board of directors for Mayan Hands and the ACI (American Cleaning Institute), has served as an advisory board member for Utah State University’s program in Outdoor Product Design and Development, and served as a board member of the Montgomery School in Chester Springs, Pa.

New York City-based IFF offers food, beverage, health, biosciences and sensorial experiences, science, and creativity meet to create essential solutions for a better world. It is an international collective of thinkers that partners with customers to bring scents, tastes, experiences, ingredients, and solutions for products the world craves, the company states.

During this podcast, Henze discusses the following:

    • Who IFF is and how it serves the dairy industry.
    • The biggest sustainability challenges facing the dairy industry today.
    • Ways ingredient suppliers are addressing sustainability concerns in the dairy industry.
    • Many dairy processors have set forth goals to meet plenty of sustainability goals by as early as 2030. Are these goals attainable and how can they get there?
