The ability to nimbly adapt under the intense pressure of a global pandemic has earned Schreiber Foods the title of Tom Camerlo Exporter of the Year.

Swiss Valley Farms, Davenport, Iowa, is the 2016 Tom Camerlo Exporter of the Year. The award goes to a dairy supplier that exemplifies leadership in advancing U.S. dairy exports, demonstrates commitment to export market development and makes exports an integral part of its overall growth strategy. It is presented by Dairy Foods and sponsored by the U.S. Dairy Export Council, Arlington, Va.

The dairy co-op has six processing plants near three major ports. From there, CDI exports milk powders and butter to markets in Asia and elsewhere.

 Protocols from The Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy give processors a guide for implementing new traceability systems. Processors with long-established traceability procedures can utilize the protocols to see how they measure up.
