The coronavirus pandemic has sent milk flying off the shelves as people stock up on essentials, but has also eliminated much of the dairy needed by institutions ranging from schools to restaurants.

Earth Day is April 22. We’ve come a long way in protecting our planet, but still have a long way to go.

Plant-based foods are seemingly everywhere these days. Consumers are turning to vegan alternatives for their favorite foods for a variety for reasons — primarily health and environmental concerns.

While the COVID-19 pandemic has upended life as we have known it for most Americans, the U.S. dairy industry — from our farmers to our truckers to our processors and our grocers — has diligently persisted in providing Americans with the safe, nutritious, high-quality dairy products they rely on.

One of the greatest challenges facing the dairy industry is how best to supply safe and nourishing products as the global population continues to rise.

Pandemics are scary. Our thoughts (helped tremendously by the media) quickly go to worst-case scenarios.
